In the autumn/winter there are performances from some of the finest musicians, including Yo-Yo Ma, Sheku Kanneh-Mason, Samantha Ege and Stephen Hough. We’re visited by orchestras including Sinfonia of London, Orchestre symphonique de Montreal with Rafael Payare, and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra with Gustavo Dudamel.
In 2025 we celebrate two major anniversaries: Pierre Boulez’s centenary and 50 years since the death of Dmitri Shostakovich. We're also visited by the Czech Philharmonic, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Khatia Buniatishvili continues her Artist Spotlight series, and our recital series features pianists Seong-Jin Cho, Louis Lortie, and Evgeny Kissin. The season includes two operas by Handel with Joyce DiDonato starring in Jephtha and Louise Alder starring in Giulio Cesare.
