In this role, you will promote the Buildings and Renewal office as a role model for the Barbican’s management style and leadership. You’ll be proactive and hands-on to enable the Barbican to operate in the most efficient, sustainable and equitable way. You will demonstrate the ability to facilitate strong, collaborative working relationships across the assistant group at the Barbican and City of London, providing the highest level of support and service. Your other responsibilities will be many and varied, and include helping to prepare reports and presentations for a range of stakeholders, co-ordinating meetings, managing events, managing group mailboxes, producing agendas, action planning and establishing and maintaining good working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience of providing PA and admin support, and be capable of complex diary management, including travel arrangements. You will have extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software, excellent word processing skills, and a logical, numeric and analytical approach to your work. Experience of providing admin support on capital projects is desirable, and an understanding of the protocols involved in working with Boards and committees would be advantageous.

A self-starter with excellent communications skills and the ability to work autonomously and independently, showing care and sensitivity, you will be ready to take the initiative to make decisions and solve problems.
