Object Marbling Workshop with KUF Studios
Members: 12 Sep
Non–Members: 14 Sep
Create beautiful, colourful marbled objects using a simple hand marbling technique
The marbling paint is dripped onto a water surface, creating unforeseeable patterns which are then transferred to various objects by dipping.
You can decorate baubles, terracotta pots, paper, light bulbs, wooden objects using this technique – your imagination is the limit. Getting in the festive spirit, KUF studios will provide a variety of clear and coloured baubles for experimentation, and will also demonstrate how simple paper cut–outs can be transformed into unique Christmas decorations.
There'll also be a selection of other objects to marble, but feel free to bring along any items you would like to personalise or give new life. The paint is an organic solvent paint and works on most surfaces. It is even possible to marble textiles – just keep in mind that the marble trays are around A4 in size.
- No experience required
- Workshop duration: 2 hours
- Maximum capacity: 15
- Marbling is a wonderfully messy business so participants are encouraged to bring an old sweatshirt, though covers are provided. If the paint goes on clothes it won’t wash off.
- This workshop has an age restriction of 16+. Participants below the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult
- Some materials will be provided but please bring along any objects you would like to marble
