A fierce drama performance about an expectant mother whose life spins out of control with a striking performance from Mehazabien Chowdhury opens this year's London Bengali Film Festival.

Despite hardships Maloti (Mehazabien Chowdhury) and her husband Polash have found solace in their loving relationship. In what should be the happiest of times celebrating their third wedding anniversary and expecting their first baby tragedy strikes. 

Already in shock and grieving Maloti must now battle against authorities, her in-laws and society to prove her husband's accidental death. 

This is the UK premiere of Dear Maloti, fresh from festival presentations around the world.
