Join acclaimed filmmaker Kevin Jerome Everson and artist, writer, and curator Morgan Quaintance for an engaging conversation exploring the intersections of film, art and storytelling.

Kevin Jerome Everson’s prolific body of work delves into the everyday lives and labour of African American communities, blending documentary and fictional elements to create poignant portraits of resilience and creativity. Morgan Quaintance’s practice spans video art, critical writing, and curatorial projects, often interrogating cultural histories, collective memory, and political discourse.

Following on from a screening of his film Park Lanes, his talk will delve into their unique approaches to filmmaking, their use of archival material, and how their work addresses questions of identity, representation, and the role of art in capturing lived experience.
