A comprehensive show of over one hundred new works, including original collages, paintings, reproductions and digital composites.
Images are made in public by sketching on the Metropolitan Line tube trains. Since the materials employed are ephemeral, the better images are scanned and printed to record the efforts. Collage began to be used in an attempt to simplify the sketching process so that they might be transcribed into paintings more easily. This selection of pictures, presents a journey through a practice, linking drawing, mixed media, technical processes and framed final pieces. https://martinrchurch.com/ Please note that the library is closed on Sundays.
Please note: Barbican Library will be closed on the morning of Monday 22 January for essential staff training. All libraries will reopen at 1.30pm.
