Experience the mastery of India's premier sarangi virtuoso as he mesmerises with soulful ragas, followed by the hypnotic sounds of the veena by Jayanthi Kumaresh.
Hailing from the illustrious Sikar gharana, a lineage steeped in tradition and excellence, Dilshad Khan's mastery spans ten generations of sarangi players and vocalists from Rajasthan. Khan embodies the rich heritage and profound artistry of this musical legacy, pioneering the sarangi's evolution by bridging the realms of film music and engaging in groundbreaking cross-cultural collaborations. Khan presents soul-stirring ragas, accompanied on the tabla by Sanju Sahai.
In the second half, be transported to the ethereal realms of Carnatic music as Jayanthi Kumaresh takes centre stage for a Saraswati veena performance, exploring the intricate melodies and pulsating rhythms of south Indian classical music. From soulful renditions to electrifying improvisations, expect nothing short of musical magic that will leave you awe-inspired.
This performance will finish at approximately 10.15pm
