In the morning session the LSO rehearses Tippett’s The Rose Lake with Sir Simon Rattle. This is followed by an afternoon at LSO St Luke's exploring Michael Tippett through a talk and chamber music.

The afternoon at LSO St Luke's explores Michael Tippett through a talk by Oliver Soden and chamber music, including a performance of Tippett's String Quartet No 5 (2nd movement) performed by an LSO quartet: Clare Duckworth, Tom Norris (violins), Malcolm Johnston (viola) and Eve-Marie Carravassilis (cello); 'Caliban’s Song' from The Tempest Suite, and 'Ich bin der welt abhanden gekommen' from Mahler's Ruckert Lieder performed by Laura Roberts (piano) and Jöel Terrin (Guildhall School baritone).

2.30–5pm 
Talk at LSO St Luke’s with Tippett’s biographer Oliver Soden, plus a chamber music performance with an LSO String Quartet plus Tippett's sings performed by Laura Roberts (piano) and Jöel Terrin (Guildhall School baritone).
