EFG London Jazz Festival 2017

Film still from Together

A special screening of the dialogue-free ‘Free Cinema’ classic presented with a newly-commissioned live jazz score for saxophone and percussion.

This film tells the story of two deaf-mute dockers living in London's East End, played by artists Eduardo Paolozzi and Michael Andrews, whose deafness isolates them from the outside world.

This screening presents a a new live jazz score commissioned by the Hippodrome Silent Film Festival in Bo'ness. Saxophonists Raymond MacDonald and Christian Ferlaino  perform their new work with percussion.

Afterwards, Raymond and Christian are joined by filmmaker Ted Evans for a panel discussion, to talk about the issues raised by the film.
