Parent & Baby Screening: The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (12A)

A still from The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society

A writer forms an unexpected bond with the residents of Guernsey Island in the aftermath of World War II when she decides to write a book about their experiences during the war.

Mike Newell (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Mona Lisa Smile) adapts Mary Ann Shaffer’s best-selling novel in this charming period drama.

Lily James (Baby Driver, Downton Abbey) stars as free-spirited writer Juliet Ashton, who forms a life-changing bond with the eccentric Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society when she decides to write about the book club they formed during the occupation of Guernsey in the Second World War.

With support from Michiel Huisman (The Age Of Adaline) and Matthew Goode (The Imitation Game).
