Memento (15) + ScreenTalk with Guy Pearce

ScreenTalk

We are thrilled to welcome actor Guy Pearce live onstage after the film, to discuss his role in Christopher Nolan’s seminal film Memento and explore his illustrious acting career.

Leonard (Guy Pearce) suffers from a rare brain disorder — the inability to form any new memories. He can remember in detail everything that happened before his injury, but anyone he has met or anything he has done since that fateful night simply vanishes. Who are his friends? Who are his enemies? What is the truth? The more he tries to figure out what is true and real, the deeper he sinks into a multi-layered abyss of uncertainty and surprises.

With nearly 40 years of acting experience, Guy Pearce has played a vast and varied range of roles, from early breakout performances in the likes of The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (1994), and L.A. Confidential (1997) to The Hurt Locker (2008) and Iron Man 3 (2013), alongside numerous TV roles, making him arguably one of Australia’s most recognisable actors.
