About the Role

As the Health and Safety Manager at the Barbican Centre, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all individuals working at or visiting the Centre. Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing, your primary responsibility is to provide expert health and safety advice, guidance, and practical support across all Centre activities. You will support to develop, implement, and monitor effective health and safety management systems while promoting a proactive safety culture.

 

The Person

Our ideal candidate will have:

- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (essential).

- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager, ideally within a public venue, cultural, or arts sector.

- Strong knowledge of UK health and safety regulations and legislation.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

- A proactive, solution-driven approach to challenges.
