Join us for a talk by renowned photographer Pablo Bartholomew, artist featured in The Imaginary Institution of India: Art 1975-1998

On the 40th anniversary of the Bhopal gas tragedy – considered one of the worst industrial disasters in the world – Bartholomew, an eyewitness, discusses his work documenting the event and its aftermath. He reflects on the media and government failure surrounding the event, and its wide-ranging consequences up to the present day.

This is the second of two talks delivered by the artist at the Barbican, and is jointly supported by the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, New Delhi.

This is a free, ticketed event. Booking is required.

Please note, this talk contains graphic imagery, including an image of a father burying his daughter
