Carlo Scarpa's integrated vision of art and space and clarity of detail first inspired Paul Williams to design art exhibitions, receiving commissions from Issey Miyake and designing art shows for the Royal Academy, Tate, the Hayward and other major UK galleries.
Since then, Stanton Williams’ work's evolved to encompass a wide range of projects - from groundbreaking research buildings such as the Sainsbury Laboratory in Cambridge to the reinvention of major cultural institutions, including Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in Kings Cross, the Musée d'arts de Nantes in France and the new Museum of London, currently on site at West Smithfield.
