Movement Meditations

sculptures hang in the Conservatory

Movement to wake up, slow down, warm up and wind down. Energise, recharge and release as you explore your relationship with the environment around and within you.

Start off your week with somatics, dance, mindfulness and free movement in the iconic Barbican Conservatory led by Jessica Green.

Deepen your attention, connect to your consciousness and ground yourself in the present. The session will make you move for 30 minutes, meditate for 15 minutes and rest for 15 minutes. Choose to follow a guide or be free and move to music that carries, liberates and uplifts you. There will be an adjusted chair-based option available.

After the session, you're invited to immerse yourself in Ranjani Shettar's artistry as you explore her site specific sculptures in the conservatory with our self-guided tour before you begin your day.

There are 20 spaces available and it's suitable for all experience levels with an adjusted chair-based option available.

The class runs from 8.30-9.30am, with 30 mins to enjoy the Conservatory afterwards.

Bolsters and blankets are provided but you're welcome to bring your own or anything else that might aid your comfort.

Please note that there will be photography taking place during this class. However, you are able to opt-out upon arrival.
