Schneider Türtscher is based in Zurich and was established in 2013 by Claudio Schneider and Michaela Türtscher. The focus of the practice is the transformation of existing buildings, usually the modest structures and situations that make up everyday building culture.
Claudio Schneider completed an apprenticeship as a structural draughtsman before studying architecture at the University of Liechtenstein and ETH Zurich. He joined Studio Adam Caruso at ETH Zürich as a teaching assistant in 2015, where he has been senior assistant since 2018. Since 2022, he has been a member of the Federation of Swiss Architects (BSA).
Michaela Türtscher studied architecture at the University of Liechtenstein and ETH Zürich. In 2020, she received her PhD with a dissertation on Fernand Pouillon's post-war constructions in Algiers.
