Join Professor Tomasz Wiśniewski and Dr Angeliki Varakis-Martin at this audio-visual lecture for an insightful exploration of Polish echoes throughout Complicité’s work.

Complicité’s latest production, Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead, explores the vivid imagery of Nobel prize-winning writer Olga Tokarczuk's darkly comic novel and the puzzling universality of a murder story set in the wilds of the Polish/Czech border. It's not the first time that echoes of Poland have appeared in the ensemble's work.

Dr hab. Tomasz Wiśniewski is a Professor at the University of Gdańsk Poland and the writer of Complicite, Theatre and Aesthetics (Palgrave Macmillan 2016). 

Dr. Angeliki Varakis-Martin is a Lecturer at the School of Arts (drama and theatre) at the University of Kent. Her main research interests are in European theatre and masked performance.
