To celebrate Women's International Day, we hear from an incredible panel of women about working in the creative industry and the importance of wellness for success.
Young Barbican have teamed up with Pepper Your Talk to bring you an online panel talk hosted by Dior Bediako with guest speakers, Fisayo Longe, Nicole Crentsil and Twiggy Jalloh. Learn from these powerful women on how to introduce wellness into your daily lives and creative careers.

Panellists
Dior Bediako is the founder of two initiatives centred on providing career support to young fashion hopefuls. Having started her career in PR at Burberry, Dior was frustrated by how little help there was for newbies in fashion; leading her to first create Pepper Your Talk for students and graduates, and then went on to launch The Junior Network for entry-level fashion professionals.
Dior is also a host and speaker, having covered events such as Stylist Live, Draper’s Fashion Forum and has worked with brands such as Arcadia, British Fashion Council and more.
Fisayo Longe is the owner and creative director of Kai Collective; a womenswear brand of attainable clothing with luxury aesthetics, that transcends trends and makes women feel their most confident. After three years as an accountant at KPMG, she set out to focus on building her personal brand as a fashion and travel blogger through which she has collaborated with brands such as Nike, Google, Lancome and Facebook. She now teaches aspiring creative entrepreneurs how to transition from content creators to profitable entrepreneurs through her initiative, the Clan of Creatives and has shared her insight on panels at Cambridge University, Warwick University, and the Ernst & Young foundation. Kai has been featured in numerous print magazines and online platforms such as Vogue, Elle, Forbes and Cosmopolitan.
Nicole Crentsil is a Ghanaian-British cultural curator, creative consultant and entrepreneur based in London. In 2018, Forbes listed Nicole as one of 100 women to follow on Twitter and LinkedIn. In the same year, TimeOut named Nicole as 1 of 50 Londoner’s shaping the city’s cultural landscape.
Nicole is the CEO of Black Girl Fest a platform dedicated to Black women, girls and non-binary people. She’s also the founder of BIG SIS, a platform dedicated to supporting the personal development of creative working women. Nicole is passionate about connecting women, young people and underrepresented groups to art, culture and events.
Twiggy Jalloh is a London-born and based beauty & lifestyle journalist, speaker, content creator and host of personal development podcast, Take Ten With Twiggy. Her words and editorials can be seen at British Vogue.
