Parent & Baby Screening

Film still from Borg Vs McEnroe

One of the most famous rivalries in tennis comes to the big screen with this tale of two players: the ice-cool Swede.

One of the most famous rivalries in tennis – and indeed, sport – comes to the big screen with this tale of two iconic and utterly different players: the ice-cool Swede Björn Borg (Sverrir Gudnason) and the fiery American John McEnroe (Shia LaBeouf). This is a story about what it takes to be the best.

The film looks at the hours of practice and hard work that it took for each player to make it to the top of their game, and the money, fame and pressure that came alongside it, culminating in their showdown at the 1980 Wimbledon final.

A compelling drama, the two leads give passionate and committed performances, with great support from Stellan Skarsgård and Tuva Novotny.
