Join us for the next Watch Party hosted by filmmaker Dominic Stinton and their film pick is Jamaica Inn.

Dominic Stinton is an artist and filmmaker with a keen interest in London's untold stories. His documentaries include 'A Portrait of Walthamstow Market (2007)' which was featured on BBC London and ITV London tonight.

As part of Leytonstone Loves Film 2019, Dominic presented the installation 'The Leytonstone Picture Palace' at the Stone Space Gallery, paying tribute to the lost Rialto cinema with a multi-sensory multimedia exhibition featuring archival materials, filmed reminiscences, new silent movies and fresh popcorn.

This year Dominic has selected Jamaica Inn by Alfred Hitchcock as their Watch Party film pick.

About the Film

Jamaica Inn is a film made by Alfred Hitchcock at a key stage in his career and was the first of Hitchcock's adaptations of Daphne du Maurier (the others being Rebecca and The Birds).

Dominic has picked this film because Jamaica Inn has historical and curiosity value. The film also marks the only occasion that Hitchcock worked with the celebrated actors Charles Laughton and Maureen O'Hara.
