In the last 8 years Stow Film Lounge has shown over 500 films in over 30 locations across the Borough of Waltham Forest and beyond, bringing cinema to thousands of people, from bespoke screenings to regular movie nights to exciting outdoor events, with much more to come. They are now making their own feature films like The Tricycle Thief, which will be the film pick for this Watch Party!

About the Film

The Tricycle Thief was filmed in the long summer of 2018 featuring over 50 local actors and many recognisable locations in Waltham Forest. It has been shown to cinema audiences with numerous sold out screenings across the Borough, from a world premiere at the celebrated GRANADA cinema on Hoe Street to school screenings.

When the lockdown began Stow Film Lounge wanted to put it online for families and kids, especially with so little new and contemporary British-made films for children. This Watch Party will feature cast and crew, with an opportunity for them to share their experience of making the first children’s film ever in Waltham Forest.

Duration is 45 minutes, with subtitles and the film has two parts to watch. There’ll also be special extra footage like links to our documentary on the Children’s Film Foundation The Kids Were Alright.
