Hotel Salvation (PG)

+ Panorama of Calcutta

Still from Hotel Salvation

This funny and emotional comedy sees Rajiv (Adil Hussain), forced to drop everything and accompany his elderly father on a journey to the holy city of Varanasi.

This is where Dayanand Kumar (Lalit Behl) wishes to breathe his last breath and attain Salvation, after an ominous dream leaves him convinced that his final days of life are approaching.

This Indian comedy has already won 10 international and Indian film awards (including the UNESCO award at the Venice Film Festival), setting Hotel Salvation up to be a strong contender for India’s Academy Award entry next year. Directed by 26-year-old Shubhashish Bhutiani, who makes his debut with this film.
