ArtifaxEvent is the Barbican's new event and venue management software, launching on 13 January 2025. It replaces Artifax Classic, which we will stop using as soon as ArtifaxEvent is live.
If you are a regular user of Artifax Classic at the moment, we recommend that you join a training session or watch one of the recorded training sessions back (we'll share videos when they're ready).
If you don't need to use ArtifaxEvent straight away in January, you are not obliged to attend this pre-launch training. We will provide complete videos of both basic and advanced training, and there will be other opportunities to learn how to use ArtifaxEvent in future.
If you don't use Artifax but do get Artifax reports then you are welcome to join this training, but it isn't essential. Layout of some reports may change but the content will be largely the same. We are working with stakeholders across affected departments to make sure that reports give us what we need from the moment we're live.
Please email [email protected] if there's anything you're not sure about.
The basic training session is aimed at all ArtifaxEvent users. If you will mostly use ArtifaxEvent as a read-only user (for example, to see the calendar and look up event information) then the basic training should be enough. The advanced session is for any users who will be booking arrangements and events themselves, or adding Programmes to Events. Advanced users should attend a basic training session first, followed by advanced training.
