Slavoj Žižek at 75 – A Celebration

Live In Conversation

Slavoj Žižek

Join the rockstar philosopher and revolutionary Slavoj Žižek for a celebration of his life and thought. Expect dialectics, psychoanalysis, and jokes.

Erudite and comic, ironic and profound, philosopher Slavoj Žižek has travelled into territory where few of us dare to tread.

From his life in the former Yugoslavia under Soviet rule, where his master’s thesis was denounced for being ‘not Marxist enough’ and he fought to democratise Slovenia and defend human rights, to his current position as a renowned public intellectual, this is a glimpse into the makings of the man widely known as ‘the most dangerous philosopher in the West’.

We’ll explore his philosophical journey and hear his thoughts on the state of the world. What does he think about AI? Is there hope left for humankind in an age of impending climate catastrophe? Is progress really a good thing?

Discover the answer to all, some, or none of these questions from one of the most outrageous and maverick thinkers of our time.
