Geeneus has run legendary East London pirate turned community station Rinse since 1994, which has been an incubator for Jungle, Garage, Grime, Dubstep, UK Funky and more of the UK's premiere sonic innovation over the past 30 years. Talents like Dizzee Rascal, Wiley, Boy Better Know, Skream & Benga, Julie Adenuga, Maya Jama all spent considerable amounts of time broadcasting on the station before achieving global success. As a producer, Geeneus is a sonic innovator with hits in Garage with Pay As U Go, in Grime under his Wizzbit alias, in Dubstep and UK Funky alongside long term collaborator Katy B and much more.

Elijah was a fan of Rinse, long before he joined as a broadcaster in 2008, for a six year weekly stint playing Grime on the station. It is the platform that helped establish his own label, Butterz which went on to achieve cult status in the Grime and electronic music worlds. Elijah throughout has been a documenter of the cultures that have come out of Rinse and platforms like it, and most notably his project the 'Yellow Squares' attempts to synthesize this in short notes on Instagram @eli1ah while trying to make sense of our fast moving technological and cultural landscape.
