'Make Yourself Heard' Audio Storytelling Masterclass

Rebel Radio

Rebel Radio: Podcast Making Workshop

Join us for a two-day audio storytelling masterclass led by award-winning audio producer and DJ Tayo Popoola.

This two-day workshop will explore audio storytelling, offering hands-on experience in pre-production, interviewing and hosting, recording and postproduction editing software.

You'll get an idea of how to craft a professional-quality piece from start to finish, but also how to continue this creative practice at home – the skills learnt with studio equipment are transferable to a home, DIY set-up.

The workshop will also introduce the idea of folk stories, and address why oral histories and ethnomusicology are important ways of documenting our personal stories.

You’ll also hear from individuals in podcasting, music, and traditional radio who will share their stories and then make themselves available to participants for interview, so workshop skills can be practised.

Age restriction: 18+

Each day will run from 11am - 6pm. You must be available to attend both days of this workshop.
