Piano Day 2025

Piano Day 2023

Celebrate the 10th anniversary of Piano Day with a free afternoon of performances, showcasing the piano’s diversity and featuring an incredible lineup of talented artists on Level G.

Founded in 2015 by Nils Frahm, Piano Day is an annual worldwide event to raise the profile of the piano, inspire more people to play the piano and encourage piano playing in public spaces. Piano Day takes place on the 88th day of the year, celebrating the number of keys on the instrument.

This year’s lineup includes Matthew Herbert, Tawiah, AVAWAVES, Neil Cowley and more, who are joined by a string quartet led by Ellie Consta. Expect an immersive journey through classical, jazz, and experimental sounds, demonstrating the piano’s ability to transcend genres. Come together to celebrate the boundless power and beauty of piano music.

This event takes place from 5-7pm and is free and welcome to all.

Stage times are approximate and subject to change.

‘Why does the world need a Piano Day? Because it doesn’t hurt to celebrate the piano and everything around it: performers, composers, piano builders, tuners, movers and most important, the listener.‘
