Mustafa

Black and white image of Mustafa

Dunya, the breathtaking debut album by Sudanese-Canadian artist Mustafa, means 'the world in all its flaws', and explores themes of devotion, trauma, and intimacy through genre-blending sound.

Mustafa’s piercing, raw writing and hushed delivery evolved from Toronto’s poetry stages to pop songwriting, culminating in Dunya. Here, he emerges as an auteur, crafting vivid, novelistic folk songs full of emotional depth.

'I’m preserving and celebrating ordinary hood life,' Mustafa says of his lyrics. Featuring collaborators like Rosalía and Nicolas Jaar, Dunya showcases a poised, distinctive voice. Mustafa’s journey is only just beginning.

This performance will end at approximately 10.30pm.
