Jon Burlingame, one of the most respected writers on film and TV music, discusses his book ‘Music in Prime Time’ with London Soundtrack Festival Artistic Director, Tommy Pearson.
London Soundtrack Festival host Jon Burlingame is the world’s leading writer on the subject of music for films and television. His book Music in Prime Time comprises popular themes in television scoring, examines the backstory of significant TV themes, and covers the largely unknown television work of major film composers.
He writes regularly for Variety and, over the past 30 years, has also written on the topic for such leading newspapers as The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and the Washington Post; and such magazines as Premiere, Emmy and The Hollywood Report.
