Henry VIII artwork - flowing red fabric showing the outline of a woman

Discover Henry VIII as you’ve never seen it before - a bold reimagining that centres the untold female perspective in this well-known tale of a king’s relentless quest for a male heir.

Adapted by Hannah Khalil, Shakespeare’s Globe Writer in Residence (2022), this fresh production of The Life of King Henry VIII: All is True explores the powerful dynamics of love, lineage, and authority from the viewpoints of the women whose lives are forever altered by the whims of the monarchy.

Owen Horsley directs this story of ambition and consequence, revealing the strength and resilience often hidden in the shadows of history.

Please note that this production contains adult content, including scenes of a sexual nature, physical harassment and mental abuse including coercion and gaslighting; themes of discrimination; depictions of alcohol abuse and depictions of childbirth.
