Great Masters Tribute to Ustad Zakir Hussain

An unprecedented gathering of percussive brilliance honouring India's greatest tabla virtuoso, the late Ustad Zakir Hussain.

Experience the crystalline cascades of Sharma's santoor as his 100 strings create shimmering landscapes, transporting listeners to Himalayan valleys. Alongside him, tabla master Talwalkar honours the legacy of Ustad Zakir Hussain while forging his own voice among India’s percussion elite.

After the interval, witness a historic percussion ensemble uniting rhythm masters from North and South India. Led by Samsi, a renowned contemporary of Ustad Zakir Hussain, this trio weaves rhythmic conversations across cultures. Samsi’s tabla interlocks with Kumar's mridangam and Udupa's clay pot, all anchored by Deochake’s harmonium. This once-in-a-lifetime concert not only pays tribute to Ustad Zakir Hussain but showcases his greatest legacy—bringing percussion into the spotlight.
