The Queen of My Dreams (12A) (AD)

Parent & Baby Screening

A family sit in the cinema

Following a family tragedy, young tearaway Azra visits her motherland Pakistan, where she discovers she may have a little more in common with her conservative mother than she imagined.

Free of her mother's clutches, Azra (Amit Kaur) lives life to the fullest.

However, following a family tragedy, she embarks on a journey to her parent's native home in Pakistan, which causes her to re-evaluate her parents in the context of the world that they came from.

As she journeys deeper into the country, Azra starts to imagine her mum's life in Karachi, and the momentous decision she took to move to Canada in the first place.

In this beautiful tale of a mother and daughter reuniting across generations, we're treated to luscious visuals and beautiful Bollywood-esque set pieces, in what is surely one of the most heart-warming films of the year.
