Eliza & Martin Carthy + The Restitution

with special guests

Eliza Carthy playing the fiddle under dynamic lighting on stage

Eliza Carthy performs her new studio album Queen Of The Whirl with her band The Restitution. Featuring re-recordings of her ‘greatest hits’ from her Mercury Award nominated albums.

With numerous BBC R2 Folk Awards, two Mercury Prize nominations under her belt and having headlined the main stages of festivals around the world, Carthy has stirred English folk music like a force of nature, putting it back on the map. She continues to bring new audiences to English folk through her well-judged recordings, performances, and collaborations with the likes of Paul Weller, Jools Holland, Patrick Wolf, and Kae Tempest.

This one-off show is a combined family celebration of Eliza’s 30th Anniversary, her father, Martin Carthy’s, 80th birthday and pays tribute to her beloved mum – the legendary Norma Waterson, who sadly died earlier this year. Recorded with her touring band The Restitution and brimming with music reimagined, Carthy performs her latest album Queen Of The Whirl, featuring an extended band and various special guests.
