Discover how to make calzone from scratch at this fun, interactive workshop with Barbican Kitchen's Executive Chef.

Members are invited to take part in our Sunday morning food workshop in Barbican Kitchen with Executive Chef Victor, an Italian pizza chef and talented, informative instructor.

Victor will teach you about the different flours ideal for calzone dough, kneading techniques, understanding the time for the dough to ferment and selecting the best tomatoes and mozzarella (vegetarian and vegan options available). Plus, you'll learn what the differences are between pizza and calzone, including shape, size, taste, and texture.

You'll leave knowing the fundamentals in pizza making, plus anything that you make on the day. Members will also be offered a complimentary pastry and hot drink and the chance to chat with other Members on the morning.

Part of Members' Week 2023, a week of events, talks and offers to celebrate Barbican Membership.

Arrive from 8.30am to enjoy your complimentary hot drink and pastry. The workshop will start promptly at 9am and finish at 10am as this is when Barbican Kitchen opens to the public.

Please arrive via the Lakeside Terrace entrance on level G.

Suitable for vegetarians and vegans, not suitable for those with an intolerance to gluten.
