Have you got a brilliant idea that you would like to pitch as a TV series, documentary, a short film or podcast?

This session will explore the ways in which content creators can put their best ideas forward in a pitch that makes a production company sit up. You will get an insight into how key relationships are made, who the key people are to seek out at a production company and how you can show your added value in your pitches.

Leanne Alie
Content Creator & BBC Producer 

Leanne Alie is a podcast producer, presenter and all round creative. She is the Commissioning Producer for BBC Sounds Audio Lab, which is an accelerator programme where she develops new podcasts with up-and-coming creators. She is the host and creator of the multi-award winning Coiled podcast; a documentary podcast exploring Black hair in all its forms and textures. Leanne's passions lie within making content for diverse audiences and is an advocate for diversity and inclusion in the audio industry.
 

Katrina Bell
Development Producer, BBC Studios TalentWorks 

Katrina is a development producer with a demonstrated history of collaboration, entrepreneurship and creativity. She works cross-genre and cross-platform (podcasts, books, live shows and long-form content) on developing ideas with top-level talent.

Katrina Bell has co-led the development activity for In The Mix, to uncover new stories and storytellers in the Factual space.
