Jeff Tweedy

Jeff Tweedy playing guitar in the corner of a large room with exposed brick walls

Armed only with his acoustic guitar and harmonica, Wilco front-man Jeff Tweedy comes to the Barbican with intimate renditions of songs from throughout his illustrious career.

Earlier this year Tweedy released Together At Last, an album made up of eleven stripped-back arrangements of songs pulled from across his prolific catalogue – placing Wilco favourites alongside deeper cuts from side projects Loose Fur and Golden Smog. It is the first in a proposed series, Loft Acoustic Sessions, where he re-imagines previous work. This ‘unplugged’ show allows Tweedy to revisit some of his finest moments, with a simplicity that exposes the wistful beauty behind his song writing.

Jeff Tweedy originally cut his teeth in ‘90s Country-Rock outfit Uncle Tupelo but came to international prominence as the front-man of Wilco, a band whose career spans two decades, ten albums, numerous Grammy Awards and an ever-elusive 10 rating on Pitchfork along the way. He has also found time to release music with Loose Fur, Golden Smog and Tweedy, a collaborative project with his son Spencer. Support on the night comes from James Elkington.
