Calligraphy Workshop with Alice Gabb

This session will start from scratch with a little introduction to good technique and some nib knowledge, and then move straight into some practice exercises, and on to letter forms. By the end of the lesson you will be able to write your name and will have dipped your nibs into the world of Modern Calligraphy.

Alice is a calligrapher, illustrator and stationery designer based in Hackney, East London. Alice started out with a stall at Broadway Market in 2009 selling her hand printed fine stationery, but she now works full time from her studio in Dalston, working to many an elaborate commission. Originally a self-taught calligrapher but now with four years professional experience, Alice now teaches workshops across London, sharing all the tips and tricks she has picked up along the way.

The workshop includes a Calligraphy Kit (worth £25) to take away with you and refreshments will be provided.

The workshop will last approximately 2.5 hours.
