We've worked with artists, community groups, and designers to create playful activities for the body and the mind that can be enjoyed both inside and outside. The activities celebrate different cultures and explore connections between generations.
The Play Packs project grew out of conversations with local community partners about the difficulties and pressures that families face during lockdown. At the start of the pandemic, 8 issues of the play packs were distributed between May 2020 and April 2021 across 9 inner and one outer London boroughs. In total, 13,500 packs were distributed to families.
Here are the 8 past issues and the final one we've put together! You can download them and start playing, if you have trouble with downloading the packs, get in touch at [email protected] and we can print and post you a copy. There are also 5 animated activities to give you a taste of what's inside each pack. We invite you, your friends and families to play together.
We also want to thank Dan Cottrell who designed the original 8 Play Packs and all the original contributors to this project over the years.
This project has been supported by the City of London through its Community Infrastructure Levy Neighbourhood Fund.
