Rain Room

Figure standing in the rain

What does it feel like to control the rain? Random International invited visitors to put their trust in the work to the test and walk through a wall of rain or simply watch the spectacle.

More than the technical virtuosity necessary for its success, Rain Room relied on a sculptural rigour, with the entire Curve transformed by the monumental proportions of this carefully choreographed downpour and the sound of water.

Random International are known for their distinctive approach to digital-based contemporary art. Their experimental artworks come alive through audience interaction and staged performance.

Supported using public funding by Arts Council England. Additional support provided by the Maxine and Stuart Frankel Foundation for Art.
