Master storyteller Michel Ocelot directs this magical animation, based on an African folktale.

This month, author Jamila Gavin (Coram Boy, Grandpa Chatterji) has taken over Framed Film Club by choosing some of her favourite children’s classics for us to screen.

Master storyteller Michel Ocelot directs this magical animation, based on an African folktale.

When an evil force surrounds a village in Africa, making villagers disappear and drying up the spring, plucky young Kirikou leaps into action. Realising that answers must lie in the Forbidden Mountain, Kirikou sets off in search of the evil Sorceress Karaba, to save his beloved village.

A visual experience not to be missed.
