Josep-Ramon Olivé (baritone)

ECHO Rising Stars

Josep-Ramon Olivé 2018 landscape standing against wall

Spanish baritone Josep Ramon Olivé is swiftly emerging as one of the finest lieder singers of his generation; his programme today includes a new collaboration with composer Raquel García-Tomás.

Olivé’s musical interests range from Handel to romantic lieder, and he’s equally at home on the operatic stage. But for this showcase recital (part of the Europe-wide ECHO Rising Stars series) he’ll perform a new commission by the Barcelona-born, London-based composer and video artist Raquel García-Tomás: an electrifying partnership.

The performance is expected to finish around 2.15pm.

Nominated by L’Auditori Barcelona and the Palau de la Música Catalana
