Join us for a free rush-hour concert of wonderful works as we explore the beauty and mystery of the ocean in Thomas Adès’ contemporary masterpiece Shanty – Over the Sea, indulge in the lush harmonies of Vaughan Williams’ beloved Tallis Fantasia, and experience the powerful, exhilarating Sonata for String Orchestra by William Walton.
Artistic director of Amsterdam Sinfonietta for more than 20 years, Candida Thompson is known for her extraordinary musical communication and honest musicianship. Her curiosity and research led her to pioneering programmes and collaborations crossing boundaries of culture, time and genre.
