Hania Rani & Ensemble present: Ghosts

Hania Rani

The Polish pianist and composer, Hania Rani brings her ethereal album Ghosts, specially rearranged for a large ensemble.

Woven together from hundreds of sounds, flavours and stories this performance highlights the intricacy of Ghosts by the introduction of strings, woodwinds and brass instruments onstage.

The result of long-time collaborations and friendships as well as varied musical backgrounds the album is given new life. Rani sees this performance as a true representation of the record, whose orchestral and tangled nature insists on a deeper musical sound onstage.

On top of her contemporary classical influences, this record reveals other inspirations like that of PJ Harvey, James Blake and Radiohead.
