Guildhall School is a vibrant, international community of musicians, actors and production artists in the heart of the City of London.
Ranked as number one in Arts, Drama & Music by the Complete University Guide 2024, one of the top ten performing arts institutions in the world (QS World University Rankings 2023), as well as the number one higher education institution in the Guardian University Guide music league table, the School delivers world-class professional training in partnership with distinguished artists, companies and ensembles.
Part of the Barbican complex, it presents hundreds of public performances every year, including plays, operas, classical concerts, jazz gigs, masterclasses and seminars, the majority of which are free of charge to attend.
In Autumn 2023 the School celebrates 10 years of Milton Court, its newest building housing a state-of-the-art Concert Hall, Theatre and Studio Theatre.

Anthony McGill – the New York Philharmonic’s Principal Clarinet – shares his ‘lustrous sound and dynamic range’ (Bachtrack) with budding musicians from Guildhall School in an evening masterclass.
Elégie – Rachmaninov: A Heart in Exile
Pianist Lucy Parham, known internationally for her Composer Portraits in words and music, and Sir Simon Russell Beale present Elégie to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Rachmaninov.
