Explore two groundbreaking feminist exhibitions Carolee Schneemann: Body Politics and Soheila Sokhanvari: Rebel Rebel after hours at this Members' Late with AZEEMA.
AZEEMA is a print magazine, online platform, community and creative agency, exploring women and non-binary folk within West Asia, North Africa, South Asia, diasporas and BEYOND. They will be hosting interactive workshops that encourage you to creatively engage with and meditate on the themes of the exhibitions.
Plus, you'll have the chance to gain behind-the-scenes insight at curator talks, explore the Conservatory with a drink from our bar, hear a special selection of tracks curated by AZEEMA FM, and enjoy an increased 20% discount in the Gallery and Foyer Shops

Carolee Schneemann: Body Politics
Art Gallery, 6.30-8.30pm
Tracing six decades of diverse, transgressive and interdisciplinary expression, Body Politics is the first extensive survey of radical feminist artist Carolee Schneemann's work, addressing urgent topics from sexual expression and the objectification of women to human suffering and the violence of war.

Soheila Sokhanvari: Rebel Rebel
The Curve, 6.30-8.30pm
Commissioned by Iranian artist Soheila Sokhanvari, Rebel Rebel humorously explores the contradictions of Iranian women’s lives between 1925 and the 1979 revolution – an explosive period of both liberation and commodification that proved short lived.
The Reinvented Life Drawing Class with AZEEMA
Conservatory Terrace, 6-9pm
Join us in an open, interactive and energetic drawing workshop like no other, led by AZEEMA's Senior Editor Evar Hussayni. We will be reinventing the life drawing experience by bringing in colour, movement and culture. The space will challenge normative expectations of drawing classes by exploring the power and potential of representation.
Visual Heritage & Culture Collage Workshop with AZEEMA
Conservatory Well, 8-9pm
Taking cue from the archives of Carolee Schneemann and the pre-revolutionary documentations of Soheila Sokhanvari, this workshop invites you to bring visual material related to your heritage and culture for a collage workshop. These can range from photos and printed images to postcards and old magazines. AZEEMA's Digital Editor Dalia Al-Dujaili will lead you through open discussion and conversation exploring themes of archive, personal histories and the socio-political contexts of the exhibitions.
Carolee Schneemann: Body Politics Curator Talk
Garden Room, 6.30-6.45pm
Curator Lotte Johnson joins us for an introductory talk exploring the urgent topics addressed in this radical exhibition.
Soheila Sokhanvari: Rebel Rebel Talk
The Curve, 7.15-7.30pm
Assistant curator Hilary Floe will give an exclusive insight into Sokhanvari's artistic process, the design of the gallery space, and the key concepts behind this devotional exhibition.
Head to the Lounge to escape the hustle and bustle of the Centre and enjoy a drink or light snack in comfort. Come down between 5-6pm for Happy Hour and enjoy a cocktail for £7.50. Open until 10.30pm.

Conservatory
Location
The Barbican Conservatory is located on Level 3, if you’re coming from inside the main Barbican building.
From the Barbican highwalks, follow signs to the ‘Barbican Centre’. Walking from Barbican tube station, you’ll see a steps with ‘Art Gallery’ above them, these will lead you up to the Sculpture Court where you'll see a sign for the Conservatory.

Access
The Conservatory is on the gallery floor (level 3), reached via the main lifts. Access Automatic glass doors (120cm wide) lead outside from the gallery floor and continue down a ramp (1:12). The Conservatory is on your right, entered through double doors (135cm wide). The Sculpture Court is on your left, up three steps or via a ramp.
Mobility
Limited access for wheelchair users and people with restricted mobility due to steps in some areas.
