Digital Nature

Ersin Han Ersin is an artist, director and creative director of London based experiential studio Marshmallow Laser Feast. Ersin’s art practice combines a wide range of disciplines including sculpture, installation, live performance, and mixed reality. His work illuminates the hidden natural forces that surround us, inviting participants to navigate with a sensory perception beyond their daily experience.  In these spaces, the known physical world is removed to reveal networks, processes and systems that are at once sublime, underpinned by research, and fundamental to life on Earth.

Julie Freeman is an artist who translates data from natural sources into kinetic sculptures, physical objects, images, sound compositions and animations. Her work explores the relationship between science, technology and the living world; questioning the use of networked technology in how we perceive and connect to nature.

Kim Boutin is a designer, educator and researcher with a focus in digital arts and interactive narratives. She started her career as Digital Art Director for Kenzo before co-founding digital and innovation direction studio DVTK. Her work has received attention from the design community and has been featured in T: The New York Times Style Magazine, i-D Magazine, Dazed, Creators Project, LSN:Global and 032c. She has given workshops at Tate Collective, KABK and University of Arts London among others and served as a panel member at ECAL and The Drums Design Awards. Kim is currently a part-time lecturer at London College of Fashion.

Kalpana Arias is a tech-anthropologist, climate activist, urban gardener and ecosomatics educator currently working at the intersection between technology, nature, and urban design. In 2020 they founded Nowadays On Earth, a social enterprise advocating for contact with nature in the digital age and growing environmental justice.
