Censor (15) (AD)

a woman with long brown hair has blood on her head and face

Prano Bailey-Bond's feature directorial debut is a chilling British horror that tells the story of a woman's undoing.

Set during the 1980s Thatcher years, Enid (Niamh Algar) works as a censor, scrutinising films for extreme content during the height of moral panic around video nasties.

One day Enid comes across an eerie horror that links directly to her sister’s mysterious disappearance years earlier. Attempting to unravel the puzzle behind the film and its enigmatic director, Enid becomes increasingly obsessed with her sister's disappearance and her quest starts to blur the lines between fiction and reality in terrifying and chilling ways.
