An interactive workshop, aimed specifically at disabled women, led by Zoe Partington, a partially sighted artist and co-director of the DisOrdinary Architecture Project.
Aimed specifically at disabled women, participants are asked to bring an ordinary domestic object that means something to them. Together, people will share their memories and work with Zoe on developing different forms of writing, audio-description, and sketching.
This workshop is part of a wider project that aims to capture the insights of diverse disabled women’s lives through their descriptions of ordinary domestic objects that are important to them. This work will inform the development of an installation in Madrid in 2022 that will share these untold stories through creative audio description, using non-visual experimentation through language, stories, sound and colours.
The workshop will be held as two 45-minute sessions starting at 5pm and 6pm, with up to 10 participants in each group.
