Oscar-nominee LaKeith Stanfield portrays William O'Neal, a felon who, in exchange for having charges dropped against him, is offered a plea deal by the FBI. O'Neal agrees to infiltrate the Black Panther Party in order to pass intelligence on Chairman Fred Hampton back to the FBI.
As O'Neal rises through the ranks of the party, eventually becoming Hampton's bodyguard, his loyalty becomes evermore blurred until the film comes to a gripping and thundering end. With exceptional performances and incendiary speeches throughout, Judas and the Black Messiah tells a powerful and urgent story.
