Queen (Turner-Smith) and Slim (Kaluuya) are travelling home when they’re pulled over by the police. What follows is an unexpected and completely riveting journey across the country, kickstarted by an injustice which thunderously echoes the horrendous experiences of too many black Americans at the hands of the law.
Directed by Melina Matsoukas – best known for directing Beyoncé’s hugely influential visual album; Lemonade – this drama is frequently dreamlike and beautiful, whilst never forgetting the danger our characters find themselves in or the injustice that started it all.
Our Parent and Baby screenings are designed for adults to enjoy the latest film releases with their young babies, in a relaxed atmosphere with gentler lighting and sound. Screenings are suitable for babies of 12 months or under. Up to four adults can accompany a baby, but adults without a baby will not be admitted.
